On International Women's Day, we would like to put all powerful women in the spotlight! Zusss has over 400 Find a store, many of which are run by enterprising and inspiring powerful women, each with their own story. Today, some of our dealers are sharing a piece of their story:

ALINDA - OWNER OF THE LUV STORE IN SPAKENBURG.

Twenty-two years ago, I left my job at RTL4 to start a shop. It was a small shop near the harbor in Spakenburg, and my goal was to make it accessible to everyone. I wanted everyone who walked in to feel like they were coming home. Soon, our little shop became too small, so we moved to a larger location. Our team grew, and to this day, I still work with so much joy and passion. A few years ago, we conducted a core values survey with our team, and LOVE emerged as the main core value. Hence the name: LUV, derived from love. I am always looking for a nice mix of items. Beautiful books, things for the home, gifts, and so on. And of course, I am incredibly happy with Zusss! LUV is more than a store. It is also a community. A place where you want to belong and a place to be."

STEFFI - OWNER OF THE "KOLLEKT" STORE IN LEOPOLDSBURG, BELGIUM.

You're young and you want something. That was my standard response when people thought I was crazy for wanting to open a concept store, especially in my lovely hometown of Leopoldsburg. But life's too short not to make your dreams come true, right? In 2012, I graduated as an interior designer. There you are, with a master's degree in your hands, and you know for sure that an office job is not for you. So I continued studying to postpone working for a while longer. But two years later, I realized that I wanted to realize 'my dream'. I ended up at Unizo and started working with them. An intensive period followed in which we searched for interesting brands and a location. In October 2015, the time had finally come. 'Kollekt' was a reality, and I haven't regretted my decision for a second. Another year later, I decided it was time for a webshop. So now Kollekt can come to you too. And we continue to dream, so who knows what will follow next."

YVONNE – OWNER OF THE FRAPPANT STORE IN SCHIJNDEL

My adventure began 30 years ago. I opened the store in a beautiful historic building on the market square in Schijndel. Every season, I lovingly put together an extensive and distinctive collection. Customer service is our top priority in the store: there is a pleasant atmosphere and we want all customers to enjoy their purchase at Frappant. We are the right place to come for the best home accessories and gifts.”

MAUREEN – OWNER OF THE VILLA MADELIEF STORE IN DALFSEN

At Villa Madelief, we make every day a celebration! Love, warmth, and coziness are the best ingredients for turning your house into a home. Villa Madelief wants to contribute to that with love. In 2014, I traded my steady job to become an entrepreneur. I started with a web shop and later opened the doors of a physical store. My affinity for interior design started at a young age; the furniture in my childhood bedroom was never in the same place for long. Now I can express my passion every day in my work."
