Sustainable labels and organizations
Amfori
Amfori is an organization that provide trade, social and environmental services for companies to help improve purchasing strategy. The agents and producers of Zusss are connected for the production processes of our fashion. Amfori helps to map the entire production chain and advise how we can make better, more sustainable choices. This is done through a code of conduct of 11 principles. These principles range from fair pay for labor to preventing child labor. Through a step-by-step approach, they help us put sustainable trade at the center of our efforts.
Bangladesh Accord
The Bangladesh Accord is an independent, legally binding agreement between brands and unions. The purpose of the agreement is a safe and healthy garment and textile industry in Bangladesh. At Zusss we apply the rules of this agreement within our fashion lines. The agreement applies to factories producing ready-made garments (RMG), fabrics and knitted accessories.
BEPI
The Business Environmental Performance Initiative (BEPI) is an initiative under Amfori, which aims to improve the environmental aspect within the production chain of our fashion items. The organization tests in 11 environmental performance areas, from energy consumption and greenhouse gases to chemical management.
BSCI
The Business Social Compliance Initiative (BSCI) is working hard to improve working conditions. At Zusss, we apply the rules of this initiative within our fashion lines. The right to form a trade union, the creation of safe working conditions and the prevention of forced and child labor are among the main pillars of this initiative. Members and their suppliers achieve this by creating an improvement plan to meet International Labor Organization (ILO) standards.
Animal-free
All Zusss care products are created without animal testing. This means that no products and ingredients have been tested on animals. In Europe, animal testing for cosmetics is now also fortunately banned.
FSC
The Forest StewardshipCouncil®(FSC) is an international organization that promotes conservation and responsible forest management worldwide. Responsible forest management means taking into account the social, ecological, and economic aspects of forest management. Products with the FSC® label come from responsibly managed forests. With the FSC® label, we demonstrate our commitment to responsible forest management and the controlled origin of our paper and wood products.
