Hello sunshine! How to make your outdoor space spring-ready

The days are getting longer, the first rays of sunshine are tickling your face, and your winter coat can stay on the coat rack more and more often. That can only mean one thing: it's time to get your garden, balcony, or roof terrace ready for a wonderfully long spring! Don't have green fingers? No stress. With these five simple tips from our colleague (and hobby gardener!) Mireille, you can transform your outdoor space into a sunny paradise in no time.

1. Spring cleaning (but fun!)
Let's be honest: winter has left its mark. Time for a mini makeover. Clear away the leaves, clean the patio, and give the garden furniture a good clean. Has your wooden bench seen better days? A coat of oil or varnish works wonders and gives it an instant fresh look.

2. Color, color, and more color
Spring means color! Fill your flower pots with cheerful bloomers such as violets, grape hyacinths, and tulips. Play with heights, mix different shades, and throw in a touch of lavender for that wonderful summer scent (and instant bees and butterflies in your garden—win-win!).

3. Make it extra cozy with accessories
Soft pillows and throws ensure
that you can also enjoy sitting outside on cool spring days. Add lanterns, candles, and atmospheric string lights for the
evenings. Small details make all the difference!

4. Make your garden bloom with a mini vegetable garden
Growing your own vegetables is fun, tasty, and sustainable. Start small with easy crops such as lettuce, tomatoes, or radishes. Even the smallest balcony can accommodate a vertical vegetable garden—and we bet you'll soon be serving your own radishes with pride!

5. Herbs for an extra green boost
Make your outdoor space even more enjoyable with a mix of plants and herbs. Add a herb box with mint, basil, and rosemary—ideal for picking fresh herbs for your tea or summer dishes. Extra
tip: place fragrant plants such as jasmine or lavender near your seating area for an instant vacation feeling.

Et voilà, your sunny outdoor spot is ready to enjoy for the whole season. So, pour that first cup of coffee outside, put on your sunglasses, and enjoy spring.
