Rocky road sprinkles

A simple St. Nicholas recipe to surprise them at home without using an oven! And the great thing is: whatever treats you have at home, whether it's gingerbread cookies, meringues, or chocolate coins, you can use them all in this rocky road. Enjoy!
Number: 16 pieces
Preparation time: 15 minutes
Ingredients and equipment:
100 g unsalted butter
200 g dark chocolate
50 g milk chocolate
8 g vanilla sugar
50 g chocolate kruidnoten
100 g kruidnoten
30 g pepernoten
Optional:mini marshmallows

STEP 1.
Use a square baking pan measuring approx. 25x25cm and line it with baking paper. Place a small pan with the butter on the stove. When the butter has melted, add the vanilla sugar, together with the pieces of dark and milk chocolate. Divide the chocolate mixture between 2 bowls.
STEP 2.
Chop the spice nuts into coarse pieces and add them to one of the bowls with the chocolate mixture. You can now pour the mixture with the kruidnoten onto the baking paper in the baking tin. Then spread the other bowl with the chocolate mixture in the baking tin. Next, decorate the top with the chocolate kruidnoten and pepernoten. Press down lightly, allowing for some variation to create a truly 'rocky' top.
STEP 3.
Then place the baking tin in the refrigerator for 3 hours. The rocky road is easiest to cut with a warm, dryknife, so that it slides through the firm baked mixture more easily. Tip: don't cut the pieces too big.
