Mini Mother's Day cakes

What happy, sweet Mother's Day cakes! This is what you want to surprise your mom with, isn't it? The best part is that you can prepare them quickly, so you can whip up a stunning breakfast in bed last-minute. With this recipe, you're sure to get Mother's Day off to a fantastic start!

What you need

9 slices of ready-made cake
9 strawberries
100ml whipped cream
50g monchou
0,5tl vanilla extract
Zusss tableware
Zusss napkins
Decoration hearts or sprinkles
Round cutter or sharp knife
Piping bag with round nozzle

Step 1

Let's start by making the cream. Beat the monchou in a separate bowl until creamy, this takes about 1 minute. Next, beat the whipping cream until stiff and gently mix it with the creamy monchou and vanilla extract until you have a smooth cream. Put this cream into a piping bag.

Tip: If you don't have a piping bag, you can use a resealable plastic bag as an alternative.

Getting started with the cake! Take the slices of cake and cut or cut out 9 rounds from them. You use 3 rounds per mini cake.

Step 3

Time to build the cake. Start with one cake round and place a strawberry on top, cutting it into 4 pieces. 

Then pipe cream around the strawberry pieces. Take a peek at the photo to the right as an example! 

Repeat this step, creating two layers. Then finish with another third cake round.
