Puff pastry Lotus Christmas tree

In collaboration with Hemelssbakken, we have a festive and easy recipe just for you! The Puff Pastry Lotus Christmas Tree is the perfect recipe to make for Christmas dinner. So you can enjoy it with all your company. And believe us, this recipe is a real treat! 

You will need this

 1 roll of ready-made puff pastry
4 tbsp Lotus caramelized biscuit paste
2 Lotus cookies crumbled
Baking sheet
Baking sheet
Sharp knife
Powdered sugar (optional for decoration)

STEP 1

Preheat the oven to 200 degrees top to bottom heat. While preheating, roll out the puff pastry and place the baking sheet and slice on a baking sheet.

 

STEP 2

Cut the slice in half along the short side, giving you two halves. Divide the Lotus speculoos paste and Lotus cookies between one of the two halves.

STEP 3

Cover the filling with the other slice of puff pastry. Now cut out the shape of a Christmas tree and remove the excess puff pastry.

 

STEP 4

Make stars from this excess puff pastry as decoration and place them on the baking sheet as well.

Then make the notches for the branches of the Christmas tree. Twist the strands all a few turns. Woohoo! Your Lotus Christmas tree is ready to go into the oven. 

 

STEP 6

Bake your creation in +/- 15-20 minutes until golden brown. Every oven is different, so keep a close eye on it.

STEP 7

Remove the puff pastry Lotus Christmas tree from the oven and let it cool for a while. To make your creation extra cozy, you can sprinkle some powdered sugar on top. Enjoy your meal!
