Puff pastry Lotus Christmas tree

In collaboration withHemelssbakken, we have a festive and easy recipe, especially for you! The puff pastry Lotus Christmas tree is the perfect recipe to make for Christmas dinner. You can enjoy it with all your guests. And believe us, this recipe is truly delicious! 

You will need

 1 roll of ready-made puff pastry
4 tbsp Lotus speculoos spread
2 Lotus cookies, crumbled
Baking paper
Baking tray
Sharp knife
Powdered sugar (optional, for decoration)

1-Sister

STEP 1

Preheat the oven to 200 degrees Celsius (top and bottom heat). While the oven is preheating, roll out the puff pastry and place the baking paper and the slice on a baking tray.

 

STEP 2

Cut the slice in half lengthwise, creating two halves. Spread the Lotus speculoos spread and Lotus cookies over one of the two halves.

Cover the filling with the other sheet of puff pastry. Now cut out the shape of a Christmas tree and remove the excess puff pastry.

 

STEP 4

Use the leftover puff pastry to make stars as decoration and place them on the baking sheet as well.

Then make the notches for the branches of the Christmas tree. Twist all the strands a few times. Woohoo! Your Lotus Christmas tree is ready to go into the oven. 

 

STEP 6

Bake your creation for approximately 15-20 minutes until golden brown. Every oven is different, so keep a close eye on it.

Remove the puff pastry Lotus Christmas tree from the oven and allow it to cool for a moment. To make your creation even more festive, you can sprinkle some powdered sugar on top. Bon appetit!
