The function

As Financial Controller, you are the financial linchpin of Zusss. You ensure that the foundation is solid, processes are sound, and numbers are transformed into clear insights. At the same time, you identify areas for improvement—and take the initiative to address them. You work closely with the board and management, lead the Finance & Support team (1 FTE + external partners), and play a key role in further professionalizing the finance function. The role is intentionally structured in phases: you’ll start by establishing and refining financial controls and will progress to a broader role focused on business control and strategy—with a clear career path toward Finance Manager (CFO).

Financial Control – Focus for the First 6 Months
• You ensure a rigorous monthly close and reliable reporting
• You bring structure to the planning and control cycle and strengthen internal controls
• You prepare cash flow and liquidity forecasts and advise the executive board and management team
• You coordinate the year-end closing process and liaise with the auditor
• You identify opportunities for improvement and drive process optimization and automation (Exact, Excel, Power BI)

Business Control – focus starting at 6 months (or sooner)
• You translate numbers into insights through analysis, forecasting, and scenarios
• You develop dashboards and management reports for the organization
• You actively manage revenue, margin, inventory, and inventory turnover
• You contribute ideas on the further development and growth of the finance function
• You progress toward more strategic and managerial responsibilities
