Pens ready, seal it up

I am Jorian, 31 years old, mom of a sweet little son Faas who is over six months old and bonus mom of Gijs (9 years old). Together with the best husband in the world we live in a village near Rotterdam. People describe me as a happy egg and that is true, I try to bring cheer into everything. A cup of good coffee, a cozy hotspot with a beautiful interior and good food, photography, flowers, making nice corners in the house or for work, wrapping presents, setting the table for dinner, pinning endless pictures on Pinterest, all make me instantly happy.
Time for rhyming and poetry, so grab your pen and notebook. You can make a gift extra personal by writing your own poem. Do you find poetry difficult and don't know how to go about it? Don't worry, Jorian will help you on your way. Let's get started.

Poetry, getting started step by step
Time to dip into the pen and write a beautiful poem for your loved one. With these tips, you can get started rhyming easily and quickly. Pour yourself a treat and grab some brownies. Let's get to work!
First, think about who it is aimed at and choose a theme right away. Below that, write down some words that you think fit the person for whom you are rhyming. What do you want to convey with your poem?
Make short sentences, incorporating the words you have noted. Try to give content to each sentence. You may make the words rhyme, but you don't have to. When something arises from feeling, it is just as beautiful!
Look up some sample words for inspiration. When you read a bit here and there, you will automatically start to get some nice ideas. Once you delve into these, you will get into the mood. First write everything that comes to mind in draft form. That way you can delete or add words here and there.
When your draft seems "complete," you can start writing your poem or rhyme into the card. Grab your finest pen and do this handwritten as well. This makes it personal. Slip your card into an envelope and then decorate the envelope with stamps and glitter. Nice and festive!
To finish it off, seal the envelope with a piece of tape. This will make the presentation look cozy right away!
Your poem is now complete and beautifully packaged. How curious you will be about the recipient's reaction!
