I am Jorian, 31 years old, mom of a sweet little son Faas who is over six months old and bonus mom of Gijs (9 years old). Together with the best husband in the world we live in a village near Rotterdam. People describe me as a happy egg and that is true, I try to bring cheer into everything. A cup of good coffee, a cozy hotspot with a beautiful interior and good food, photography, flowers, making nice corners in the house or for work, wrapping presents, setting the table for dinner, pinning endless pictures on Pinterest, all make me instantly happy.
Gift wrapping... You can do it all year round, but with December approaching, it's the perfectopportunity toshow off your wrapping skills. Gift wrapping sounds fun and it is, but could you use some tips? Then read on. Jorian will be happy to help you wrap your present in a festive way. Who are you going to surprise?
To wrap your present, you need some important stuff. How often does it not happen that you have the wrapping paper perfectly in place, while you still have to dive into the closet looking for tape... So first conjure up your pencil case containing scissors, a pen and washitape. Don't forget to shop for a cool gift with a card. When all the goodies are on the table, you can start wrapping them. Together we can make the surprise complete!
Time to really get started wrapping. Choose your favorite wrapping paper. Place the gift in front of you and cut the paper to your desired size. Wrap your gift in the paper and secure the paper with washitape. It's so much more fun not to use "regular" tape but cozy tape. Because let's face it, that looks incredibly festive right? Tip: If you happen to have any dream flowers lying around at home, you can use this to brighten up your gift if necessary.
Finishing your gift with a self-written poem? Writing a poem is a beautiful gesture, although starting with poetry can be quite an obstacle. Jorian will gladly help you on your way with writing your poem.
Now is the time to include a card with the gift. Go for a handwritten card because that makes it extra personal. You can tie your card to your gift with a piece of tape or a nice piece of string. Top off the envelope with some fun stamp imprints.
It's time to hand over your poem and the beautiful gift. Of course, this step is the very best. There is nothing better than seeing a big smile on your sister, friend, grandmother, mother or aunt! Good luck & enjoy giving your gift!
