The Forgotten Child

As a long-standing partner ofHet Vergeten Kind(The ForgottenChild), we are happy to work with you to contribute to this foundation's mission. In the Netherlands, more than 100,000 children grow up in families with serious problems. As a result, these vulnerable children do not receive the attention and love they need. The Het Vergeten Kind foundation is committed to helping these children feel seen and loved again. To offer these children a bright future, Het Vergeten Kind organizes children's activities and develops children's programs aimed at bringing about structural improvements in their lives. Zusss works with Het Vergeten Kind to join forces and increase the positive impact on 'forgotten children'.

COLLABORATION THROUGH THE YEARS

Since 2017, we have been working with the foundation to achieve their mission: to devote themselves fully to forgotten children in the Netherlands, making it easier for them to function within society. Within the collaboration with Het Vergeten Kind, we have already been able to take on a number of great projects, such as the annual development of a special Zusss x Het Vergeten Kind. This allows us to raise money for the foundation, enabling them to develop more great projects. Below you can see the projects over the years.

This is what happens with your donation to The Forgotten Child

Thank you to your help, in 2022 we donated a total of €11,392 to The Forgotten Child Foundation during 3FM Serious Request.

Twice a year The Forgotten Child Foundation organizes an outing for the forgotten children in the Netherlands under the name 'Heppie Tour'. This is a day out to various amusement parks and children's museums. In addition, these children may also enjoy a vacation or weekend trip to Hotel Heppie. This is a specially designed hotel where the children are welcome either alone or with their parent(s) to relax, have fun and do fun things. This happens within a safe and structured environment under the guidance of trained volunteers. These moments are bright spots throughout the year for the children. By working together (through donations of money or items) to create different points of light for them, we provide a more stable base for these children.
