Sustainable labels and organizations
Amfori
Amfori is an organization that provides trade, social, and environmental services to companies to help them improve their purchasing strategies. Zusss' agents and producers are affiliated with the production processes of our fashion. Amfori helps to map out the entire production chain and advises us on how we can make better, more sustainable choices. This is done through a code of conduct consisting of 11 principles. These principles range from fair remuneration for labor to the prevention of child labor. Through a step-by-step approach, they help us to put sustainable trade at the heart of our business.
Bangladesh Accord
The Bangladesh Accord is an independent, legally binding agreement between brands and trade unions. The aim of the accord is to ensure a safe and healthy clothing and textile industry in Bangladesh. At Zusss, we therefore apply the rules of this accord within our fashion lines. The accord applies to factories that produce ready-made garments (RMG), fabrics, and knitted accessories.
BEPI
The Business Environmental Performance Initiative (BEPI) is an initiative under Amfori, which aims to improve the environmental aspect within the production chain of our fashion items. The organization assesses 11 environmental performance areas, from energy consumption and greenhouse gases to chemical management.
BSCI
The Business Social Compliance Initiative (BSCI) works hard to improve working conditions. At Zusss, we apply the rules of this initiative within our fashion lines. The right to form a trade union, the creation of safe working conditions, and the prevention of forced and child labor are among the main pillars of this initiative. Members and their suppliers achieve this by drawing up an improvement plan to comply with International Labor Organization (ILO) standards.
Not tested on animals
All Zusss care products are cruelty-free. This means that no products or ingredients have been tested on animals. Fortunately, animal testing for cosmetics is now also banned in Europe.
FSC
Het Forest Stewardship Council®(FSC) is een internationale organisatie die zich wereldwijd inzet voor behoud en verantwoord bosbeheer. Er is sprake van verantwoord bosbeheer wanneer rekening wordt gehouden met de sociale, ecologische en economische aspecten die bij bosbeheer horen. Producten met het FSC®-keurmerk komen uit verantwoord beheerde bossen. Met het FSC®-keurmerk laten we zien dat we kiezen voor verantwoord bosbeheer en gecontroleerde herkomst.
